The WBC World Bantamweight Champion "Big Bang" Junto Nakatani (M.T., 30 wins, 23 KOs) and the IBF World Bantamweight Champion Ryosuke Nishida (Mutsushima Gym, 10 wins, 2 KOs) will face off in a title unification bout as the main event of Prime Video Boxing 13, scheduled for Sunday, June 8 at the Ariake Arena in Tokyo. The fight will be exclusively streamed on Prime Video, and Amazon Prime members can watch at no additional cost.
On February 24, after Nakatani defeated Mexican challenger David Cuellar (28 wins, 18 KOs, 1 loss) by KO at 3 minutes and 4 seconds of the third round at Ariake Arena, Nishida entered the ring, and the two fighters exchanged challenges. From that moment, it was clear that this showdown was destined to happen.

同日的賽事中，也安排了WBA世界拳擊理量級冠軍堤聖也（角海老寶石）＝12勝（8場KO）無敗3和＝與同級暫定冠軍安東尼奧・巴爾加斯（美國）＝19勝（11場KO）1敗1無效試合＝的WBA王座統一戰。堤選手於去年10月13日擊敗井上拓真（大橋）＝20勝（5KO）2敗＝奪得世界冠軍頭銜。今年2月24日，與比嘉大吾（志成）＝21勝（19KO）3敗2和＝激戰互相擊倒，最終以平局守住王座。此次將是他第2次衛冕戰。
Originally, Ryosuke Nishida was ordered by the IBF to face the No. 3 ranked contender Jose Salas Reyes (Mexico, 15 wins, 10 KOs) in a mandatory title defense. However, Nishida prioritized the title unification bout with Junto Nakatani instead.
With special approval, Reyes will now become the mandatory challenger for the winner of the Nishida vs. Nakatani fight.
On the same card, there will also be a WBA bantamweight title unification bout between WBA world champion Seiya Tsutsumi (Kadoebi Jewel Gym, 12 wins, 8 KOs, 3 draws, undefeated) and WBA interim champion Antonio Vargas (USA, 19 wins, 11 KOs, 1 loss, 1 no contest).
Tsutsumi captured his world title by defeating Takuma Inoue (Ohashi Gym, 20 wins, 5 KOs, 2 losses) on October 13 of last year.
On February 24, Tsutsumi fought a fierce battle against Daigo Higa (Shisei Gym, 21 wins, 19 KOs, 3 losses, 2 draws), with both fighters scoring knockdowns, ultimately resulting in a draw that allowed Tsutsumi to retain his title. This upcoming fight will be his second title defense.

Tenshin Nasukawa (Teiken Gym, 6 wins, 2 KOs), who vacated the WBO Asia-Pacific bantamweight title, is currently ranked No. 1 by the WBC, No. 2 by both the WBA and WBO, and No. 4 by the IBF. As a final tune-up before a potential world title fight, he will compete in a 10-round bantamweight bout against Victor Santillan (Dominican Republic, ranked No. 6 by the WBA, 14 wins, 5 KOs, 1 loss).
The 29-year-old Santillan previously fought in a WBA world bantamweight title eliminator on June 11, 2013, at the Sumiyoshi Ward Community Center in Osaka, Japan, against Takuma Ishida (Ioka Gym, 34 wins, 17 KOs, 4 losses). Santillan lost by split decision with scores of 112-116, 112-116, and 118-110.
He last fought in June of last year in the Dominican Republic, where he won a 10-round decision against Alfre Ramirez (Dominican Republic, 10 wins, 5 KOs, 6 losses).
Tomoya Tsuboi, the 2021 AIBA World Amateur Boxing Champion at bantamweight (Teiken Gym, 1 win, 1 KO), will compete in his second professional bout, challenging for the vacant WBO Asia-Pacific bantamweight title vacated by Nasukawa. His opponent will be Van Thao Tran of Vietnam (18 wins, 10 KOs, 1 loss), who is ranked No. 12 by the WBO at bantamweight.
