The fight marked a return from long layoffs for both men—41-year-old Jack after about 2 years and 2 months, and 34-year-old Gevor after about 1 year and 6 months. The bout began with both fighters exchanging jabs. In the early rounds, Gevor moved around the ring effectively, outworking Jack with right straights and a higher punch output, while Jack looked for counter rights.

In the 6th round, Jack landed a straight right followed by a combination, while Gevor responded with light but frequent punches and continued moving. From the 9th round, Jack increased his pressure, but Gevor used clinching to prevent close-range exchanges. In the 10th round, Jack pursued with a straight right to the body, though Gevor landed a counter right when Jack closed in.

By the 11th round, neither fighter landed any decisive shots, and clinches became more frequent. In the final round, Gevor continued landing light combinations and then clinching or moving out of range. Jack was unable to land a decisive blow and even took a left hook from Gevor near the end. The judges scored it 115-113, 115-113, and 114-114, giving Jack the decision victory.

Super Middleweight 12-round Bout
A direct rematch between former WBO World Super Welterweight Champion and current WBC Super Middleweight No. 5, IBF No. 8, WBO No. 9, Jaime Munguia (Mexico) – 44 wins (35 KOs), 2 losses – and IBF/WBO Super Middleweight No. 6, Bruno Surace (France) – 26 wins (5 KOs), 0 losses, 2 draws. Munguia won by decision.

The two had previously fought on December 14 last year (December 15 Japan time) in Tijuana, Mexico, where the heavily favored Munguia knocked Surace down in the second round but suffered a shocking comeback knockout loss in the sixth round. Now part of Team Canelo, Munguia entered the rematch seeking redemption.

In the first round, Munguia kept a high guard, threw very few punches, and started cautiously. Surace, on the other hand, landed his signature right straight—the same punch that earned him the KO in their first fight.

By the third round, Munguia began increasing his punch output, using his jab, right straights, and left hooks to the body. Surace continued using the jab and tried to time his right hand. In the fifth round, Munguia applied more pressure, forcing Surace to back up against the ropes. However, Munguia avoided overcommitting and still kept his punch volume relatively low.

Round 7: Neither fighter gave ground. Near the end of the round, Munguia unleashed a combination, but Surace countered with a left-right combo.

Round 8: Munguia increased his punch output, but Surace’s tight guard prevented any clean shots.
Round 9: Munguia took the initiative, while Surace blocked and looked for counter rights, landing one near the bell.

Rounds 10 & 11: Surace became less aggressive, and Munguia pressed the action, landing shots and then stepping back without overcommitting.

Final Round: Munguia continued to fight cautiously without overpursuing. The bout ended with scores of 117-111, 117-111, and 116-112, giving Munguia a decision victory. His cautious, victory-focused strategy earned him the win in this comeback fight. His full resurgence will be assessed in his next bout.

Heavyweight 10-round Bout
WBC & IBF World No. 3, WBO No. 12 Efe Ajagba (Nigeria) – 20 wins (14 KOs), 1 loss – fought WBC World No. 4, WBA No. 6, IBF No. 10 Martin Bakole (Congo) – 21 wins (16 KOs), 2 losses. The match ended in a 10-round draw. The judges scored it 96-94 for Ajagba, and two even scores of 95-95.

Both fighters started by trading jabs and looking for big right-hand shots. The action picked up in round 3 when Ajagba landed a fast straight right, and Bakole responded with a left hook. In round 4, Bakole pressed Ajagba against the ropes and landed a left hook, while Ajagba tried to respond with right straights while backed up against the ropes.

Rounds 9 & 10: Ajagba kept moving and extended his jab and straight right, though his punch output remained low. Bakole, despite limited volume, landed sharp punches and managed to press Ajagba, ending the bout strongly.

This fight marked Bakole’s comeback after his shocking second-round TKO loss to WBO Interim Heavyweight Champion Joseph Parker (New Zealand) — 36 wins (25 KOs), 3 losses — on February 22 (February 23 Japan time) in Riyadh’s Kingdom Arena, where Bakole stepped in as a last-minute replacement just two days before the fight.

Light Heavyweight 6-round Bout
Bryan Leon (Cuba) – Canelo Alvarez’s sparring partner, undefeated at 6 wins (6 KOs) – faced Aaron Guerrero (Mexico) – 11 wins (7 KOs), 3 losses, 1 draw. Leon took control from the start with fast flicker jabs and straight rights, mixing in left body shots and right counters. In round 4, he scored a knockdown with a left hook. Guerrero showed resilience and lasted until the end of round 6. Leon won comfortably.

Heavyweight 8-round Bout
WBO Cruiserweight No. 13 Richard Riakporhe (UK) – 17 wins (13 KOs), 1 loss – made his heavyweight debut against Kevin Nicolas Espindola (Argentina) – 9 wins (4 KOs), 9 losses. Riakporhe scored a knockdown with a left body shot in round 4 and won via TKO at the end of that round.
